SteelSeries And Evil Geniuses Announce Partnership

The Global Peripherals Leader Will Sponsor the North American eSports Organization and Partner Together for Product Development

SteelSeries, the leading global manufacturer of gaming peripherals and long-time advocate of eSports, today announced the sponsorship and partnership with the team, Evil Geniuses (EG). With some of the world’s best squads and players in Dota® 2, StarCraft® II, Halo® and fighting games, EG has built their eSports empire on the same values of dedication, hard work and passion that the SteelSeries brand represents.

“We are proud to announce our partnership with Evil Geniuses, an eSports organization that features some of the best professional gamers in the world.  The SteelSeries brand is synonymous with eSports and we align our brand with the finest teams to support their victories, and work together to create products and peripherals that enhance the gaming experience and allow players everywhere to rise to the challenge,” said Ehtisham Rabbani, SteelSeries CEO.

"We are thrilled to partner Evil Geniuses with long-time industry friend, SteelSeries," says Brandon Freytag, at GoodGame Agency. SteelSeries is known within the eSports communities as being passionate about gaming, which truly shows in their products. With their gracious support of Evil Geniuses, the team will look to continue the excellence they’ve always been known for. We are excited to announce and welcome SteelSeries back to the EG family!"

"I had a great experience using SteelSeries products in the past and I can't wait to return to using their gear again - just in time for WCS! SteelSeries gear is what I'm comfortable with and has brought me great luck during past tournaments,” said Lee “Jaedong” Jae-Dong, professional player for Evil Geniuses.

Team EG started the year with a long list of important wins. The Dota® team claimed 1st and over $1MM in prize money at the Dota® 2 Asia Championship in January and will be competing at ESL One Frankfurt later this month before the International 5 in August. The Halo team has won the past three Halo Championship Series events including a first place finish at the Season 1 finals at PAX East and look to remain undefeated through the Season 2 finals in July. Their fighting game players have also achieved multiple 1st place finishes across three different titles at APEX 2015, NorCal Regionals, and Northwest Majors leading up to EVO in July.
