How To Sign Up for Genshin Impact 1.5 Beta Update

Here's how you can get involved in the upcoming Genshin Impact 1.5 beta update.

Genshin Impact's latest update hits on March 17, but there's another set of augments coming in the future that players are ready to jump into. The 1.5 Beta update is set for a later date, though you can jump in and sign up early right now to get a head start. There's just one problem with that: how do you actually sign up? We've got all the answers you're looking for, so don't go anywhere!

If you're looking to get into the Genshin Impact 1.5 Beta, you'll need to follow a specific process to join in. That includes filling out an application as soon as possible. You can do this in one of two ways:

  • Join the Genshin Impact Discord server, head to the Announcements channel, and sign up from there. You'll need a valid Discord account to do so. The upside of this method is that you can meet plenty of other like-minded fans, and there are tons to go around.

  • Fill out a special form with the use of an ID from developer miHoYo's HoYoLAB and a Discord username. Sometimes, the form states that it's no longer accepting applications, but it has closed and opened before, so keep trying.

Both options will require that you sign a non-disclosure agreement, or an NDA. Essentially, this paperwork keeps you from being able to talk about or report on what you see during the beta, so you'll have to be careful about sharing anything online.

Version 1.5 of Genshin Impact will feature a wide variety of additions, but no one is quite sure exactly what that will entail just yet. However, the consensus among players is that the character Baizhu will likely become a playable character.

Baizhu is an NPC that's been spotted in Genshin Impact. He's known for a variety of colorful, vivid outfits. Though developer miHoYo hasn't stated anything concrete, it's a safe bet that the update will at least introduce some new characters as well as fun new missions and storylines, as there always are.

We should be seeing additional information about what's coming to the game as the weeks fly by. The beta will give way to another major update in April, and it'll be time to pore over all the new content in-game then. Be sure to check back here for more information about what the update will bring, too.

Currently, Genshin Impact is available on Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4. The beta update will be available across all platforms, so you don't have to make the difficult decision of which system you want to play on to get involved. Happy adventuring!
