How Many Chapters Are in RDR2?

Red Dead Redemption 2 has six main story chapters and two epilogues. Each chapter introduces a new environment with diverse missions and evolving friendships. To obtain 100% completion, it’s estimated to take 187 hours to see all of what RDR2 has to offer. To finish just the main chapters should only take about 50 hours.

Chapter two is where the game really opens up and players get introduced to the larger, more diverse landscape of the game with opportunities to explore, hunt and interact with more characters. While survival was the theme in chapter one, chapter two is all about building the gang’s reputation and making money.

Chapter 3: Clemens Point

Chapter 3 - Clemens Point The gang heads to the Deep South in chapter three. Get ready for a swampy, humid environment with a new level of complexity to the game. Once you’ve reached this stage in the game, the gang’s dealing becomes more intricate and dangerous. You’ll see new characters, both friendly and not-so-friendly while navigating the water of the Bayou. Intense shootouts, chases and exploration fuel this chapter.

Chapter 4: Shady Belle

Chapter 4 - Shady Belle Chapter four brings a mood shift for the Van der Linde gang as they take up residence in Shady Belle. You’ll notice a contrast between this chapter and the ones before, bringing a darker tone and more desperate atmosphere. When things get desperate, so do the actions of the gang. You’ll see more reckless and violent actions with clear consequences. This chapter is all about warfare, dilemmas and diving deeper into the criminal world.

Chapter 5: Guarma

Chapter 5 - Guarma If you think chapter 4 is a shift from the norm, wait until you reach Guarma. The Van der Linde gange find themselves stranded on Guarma, a tropical island, after a failed bank robbery. This chapter brings back the sense of survival you felt in the first chapter. You’ll face Intense action, moral dilemmas and tough choices as you progress through chapter five.

Chapter 6: Beaver Hollow

Chapter 6 - Beaver Hollow Drawing the journey to an end, chapter six brings a rollercoaster of emotions as the gang faces its ultimate demise. This proud group of outlaws has changed into a fractured and desperate group that has to make some of the toughest decisions of their lives. Beaver Hollow brings heartbreaking moments and a sense of finality. Expect the unexpected.
